Instructions & Logistics for RUNNERS
(Family participants have a separate document)

Time Line Chart of Kilometer Markers

This is NOT a RACE

If you have any lodging issues please contact Kerry Ellen Enright at kerryellene@yahoo.com

This year we have Port-A-Potty's located every 5 miles (8 KM) along the course and in Monument Square

There will be a tent this year in Ft Williams park, rain or shine. There will be clean Port-A-Potty's there as well that we will locate on the top of the hill.

Trolleys during the run - For RUNNERS ONLY
Last year the trolley's were very crowded, and uncomfortable. Spectators should not ride the trolleys. It is a 7 hour ride. The trolleys are designed to transport runners that want to run, rest run, etc. not just run 5k and ride the rest of the way.

If you plan to run only a few Kilometers please provide your own transportation. If you are just sitting on the trollys most of the time, you defeat the purpose of the trollys for everyone else. Thank you for understanding.

Parking
There is free parking at Obeds parking lot in Ogunquit center. Just follow the directional signs. It is located on Cottage St, in Ogunquit for GPS users. There is free parking in Monument Square at the One City Center Parking Garage, follow the directional signs

Ceremony Start Time
The ceremony will start at 7:45 AM in Ogunquit, followed at 8:00 AM by the start of the run. All Fallen Hero poster will be put in place Saturday night. The locations are listed here->>
Chart of Kilometer Markers. The time when the first runners arrive is also on this chart. This is an estimate. Depending on weather conditions etc. we could be earlier or later.

Shirts and lobster bake tickets
will be available for pickup in Ogunquit Center starting 3:00 PM till 9:00 PM Friday, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM Saturday, and 6:30 to 7:45 AM Sunday morning. They may also be there from about 8:00 AM until 8:15 AM Sunday morning.

All leftover bags will then be brought up to the finish in Monument Square. They will be available for pickup from Aprox. 2:00 PM until about 3:30 PM

The remainder will be brought to Ft. Williams for pickup at the Lobster Bake. You need those tickets in the bag to be served at the Lobster bake. There is still time to let us know. We can't assume how many people will be there.

All trolley's and runners will gather at the 62 K marker in South Portland at the S. Portland side of the bridge and run the rest of the distance together. There is a park (Erskine Park) there is parking close by and Port-A-Potty's there. All are welcome to join us.

There is only one KM marker on the bridge this year. # 63. We moved a few of the KM markers around for safety and parking reasons. Please check where they are, some are different than last year

There will be a short ceremony in Monument Square after the finish. There will be printed directions available there to Ft. Williams if you don't know the way.

One trolley will head back directly to Ogunquit from Monument Square. One or more Trolley's will proceed to Ft. Williams Park for our celebration of the lives of these great men and women.

There will be a short ceremony (nothing boring) and some great food, friends and entertainment for all at Ft. Williams until aprox. 7:00 PM . We will have a great Family "free" Raffle, Red Sox tickets, Patriots tickets a Tom Brady Autographed Football and many great donated gifts.

The trolley will go back to Ogunquit from Fort Williams park. Any questions please first check the website, then try e-mailing me and final resort call me 207-251-1254

Sunday night August 21 we start planning for next year and pray our list doesn't get any longer.
