Run for the Fallen Maine is an organization dedicated to keeping alive the memory of our military heroes that gave their lives to protect our freedom since September 11, 2001.

On Sunday August 21, 2011 the 4rd run to honor our heroes will be held. This is a 65 kilometer event with each kilometer being dedicated to the memory of one of our heroes that lived in Maine, had family from Maine or had some ties to our home State

What can you do to honor our fallen heroes?

If you are a runner, Come and run/walk one or many or all of the kilometers from Ogunquit, Maine to Monument Square in Portland. (Run some, ride the buses and run some more)

Note: You do NOT have to run the whole course, this is a tribute not a race.

If you are relative or friend of a fallen hero, please come join us for the event as our guest at the start, on the course, finish, and the memorial time & Lobster bake after.

After the run all will be invited to Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth. This is one of our most stunning and symbolic spots in all of Maine where the Portland Head Lighthouse is located. There, we will celebrate the lives of these brave souls with a traditional Maine Lobster Bake. This will be a fitting tribute to our Brave men and their loved ones.

(The Lobster bake is FREE to family & friends of our fallen heros and depending on our level of sponsorship, for runners and volunteers the cost may vary from free to maxium charge of $20 per person. Please understand that this is a work in process.)
